I bought this for camping but because we live remote and I like to stock up on frozen items from Costco this cooler allows me to transport frozen foods 6 plus hours in summer heat and remains totally frozen solid. I have brought home ice cream in this cooler and it's as frozen solid as it was when I pulled it from the store freezer department. Honestly I've never owned a cooler that works this well. Cools very fast and gets to preferred temperature in a few minutes ( Only negative is unless its running it cools off FAST ) not an issue as we keep it plugged in or run it long enough to keep milk nice and cold. I own the 53 quart, wish I bought the bigger one but that's because we have a big family, I do have the dual zone which I have only ever used it as a freezer or fridge but it does give you the option of both and works well. Highly Recommend Bodega !!!
Absolutely love this cooler. It has great capacity, cools/freezes very quickly. We don't loose any space inside to ice for keeping things cool. No messy ice melt to ruin or spoil food.
It is quiet, fast, lightweight, and easy to use. It is the perfect size for us. I had no problem making a keeping the ice cold. Seems to be built solidly. It is very reasonably priced too.
The Bodega 64 Quart Cooler is pretty much a top of the line product and a very reasonable price. I've used my cooler for over 2 years now and have had zero issues with it. I use it inside my SUV and outside in my camping trailer. It's been in extreme heat in the Big Bend Desert, freezing temperatures in the Rockies and through a long South Texas thunderstorm, still going strong. It does not pull too much power (1 ah battery can run it for days on end) yet it keeps ice frozen and drinks cold with the dual zone feature. Why spend more when you can get this reliability, ruggedness and efficiency for half the price.
I got this bad boy on a Black Friday deal. What shall I say? That it perfected my life?! Well almost! I am using it in my van mostly for road trips and visits to the grocery store when we aren’t going directly home.
Positives: it holds temperatures perfectly while plugged in.
It cools down extra fast if the divider is out.
Able to keep frozen ice cream while at a baseball game (with a Ryobi battery operated AC/DC converter)
Negatives: without a current charge it losses temperature quickly.
It is slow to come to correct temperatures if you have two zones.
All out review: it is hands down great for the price! If you have a constant flow of power or a battery substitute … this thing rocks! And it has changed our lives knowing how to use it … whether road trips or outings when we won’t be home for hours with a battery to keep it running. And on an 18 volt Ryobi battery, it kept tempts for about 2 hours continuing the “already temperatures”.
The roller wheels help as it gets heavy when filled! I just wish the extended handle was longer when rolling:
If you are wavering on sizes, go bigger.
The instructions are crap btw. But if you connect in your home via wifi and Bluetooth it does remember. When out of wifi range the app tells me it is not connected, but when I click “help” and click back in the apps it is indeed connected and can be controlled by the app.
