2. Cozy blankets and picnic gear

One of the best things about road trips is that you can stop anywhere, anytime! You can sit comfortably in your own vehicle and enjoy the stunning views as much as you like. If possible, you can organise a picnic. Maybe some cheese, cured meats stored in your car fridge. Or fresh juices from local vendors.

3. Vehicle inspection before departure

It's always worth getting ready! Make sure your car is in perfect condition before you leave the house. Before you go out on the road, take your car for maintenance or inspection. And let your mechanic know you're going on a trip so they know what to look for. You may need to balance the wheels, buy new tires, replace brake pads, or buy a new car battery. It is also very important to keep a contact number for technical support in your car just in case.

4. Play fun games

Playing car games is not only fun, but also a great way to help drivers stay alert!  Find some fun games before you leave. This helps you pass the time, stay vigilant, and hear stories you haven't heard before.

It's also a good idea to pack baby wipes or pre-made cleaning wipes to clean your car, and to clean sticky fingers, spilled soft drinks, and other strange and unpleasant objects that get into your car during your road trip.

6.Take breaks and switch driver regularly

This  is really important. You should make a lot of rest stops during the journey and make sure the driver have enough rest so that they can stay alert on the road. It's a great idea to plan rest stops but you also can keep an eye on your watch and stop at least 15 to 20 minutes every two hours to stretch your legs. Pick a scenic spot, rest as long as you want. Don't forget to switch up the driving responsibilities.

Both you and your partner get ready for a few playlists each! Make them themed and take each other on a musical journey, try making playlists like, ‘My 10 favourite songs from the ’90s,’ ‘My turn-up tunes,’ and ‘My ultimate break-up jams,’ they’re not only a great way to find out more about each other’s favourite songs, but you end up hearing really funny and interesting stories too.
